This page explains what JurisHub collects and why. It's written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate — if anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
- Your institution, if you provide one.
- Your activity in the app: bookmarked questions, practice session history, and which questions you've marked reviewed.
- If you're an admin, the past-question content you add, including any files you upload for automatic question extraction.
What we use it for
- Running your account: logging you in, showing your saved questions and progress.
- Password reset emails, when requested.
- Improving the study content available to all students at your institution.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your study activity for advertising.
Who else sees it
JurisHub runs on third-party infrastructure that processes data on our behalf to operate the service: our hosting provider (Vercel) and our database provider (Neon). When an admin uses the automatic question-extraction tool, the uploaded document is sent to an AI model provider (via Vercel AI Gateway) solely to read and structure that document — not to train models on your data.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and activity for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account deleted, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If how we handle data changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and change the date above.
